Key Functions

Take control of Kilindi’s Butler Program
  • Daily inspection of property to ensure that all departments are fulfilling their respective requirements
  • Supervise, on-job-training and co-ordination for all butlers
To maintain good relations with the surrounding local communities 
  • Meet with Village Elders, offer assistance to develop the community within budgetary restraints
To meet all arrivals
  • All arrivals to be met by management with the first three hours of arrival
Supervise service periods
  • All rooms to be check by a senior manager before arrival, also to check all turndowns in the evenings
Staff management
  • A senior manager to be on the floor during all meal times
Assist General Manager with general staff management – disciplinary procedures, recruitment, staff relations and training
  • Take full control of the property in the absence for General Manager
  • Manage Kilindi in it’s entirety when General Manager is off site
Supervise and control operations to all required standards, within budgetary limits and parameters of all relevant laws
  • To ensure the upkeep of all standards, regulations and efficient service within the hotel
To operate all the above to the highest industry standards and as would be expected of a luxury 5 star property.
  • Maintain profit margins, cost control, issuing against requisitions, sales analysis etc.
  • Ensuring the general upkeep of the property
  • Guest satisfaction – including guest complaints
  • Meeting deadlines
