Turkey Government Scholarships 2011/2012

The Turkey government is offering ten (10) scholarships to Kenyans in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. They are in the following categories:

1.    Undergraduate: 8

2.    Post-graduate: 2

Eligibility

Undergraduate:. studies in Engineering, Actuarial Science and Technology and Sciences

·         Minimum KCSE mean grade of B (plain) with minimum grade of B in Mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry.

·         Not more than 23 years of age

·         Only those candidates who completed secondary education in the last 3 years and have original KCSE certificate need to apply.

Post graduate: studies are open except medicine

Eligible candidates are only those who:

·         Are serving in the country in the Public sector

·         Completed two(2) years of continuous service since their last degree studies

·         Graduated in the last ten(10) years

·         Are below 34 years for masters and 40 years for PhD programmes

NOote: Applicants for masters must have 1st class or upper second class honours degree from a recognized university.

Applicants for PhD studies must be holders of Masters Degree with good grades from a recognized university.

Preliminary application forms are obtainable form the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology offices at Teleposta towers 27th floor, room 2702.

The application forms can also be downloaded from the Ministry’s website: www.scienceandtechnology.go.ke

Candidates for postgraduate studies should submit their application forms through their heads of departments.

Completed application forms with attached certified photocopies of ID, academic/ professional certificates, transcripts, birth certificate, other testimonials and a proposal in the area of study should be sent to:

The application forms should reach the Ministry not later than 19th May, 2011.
