This position will play a primary role in planning, implementing, leading and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing.

The role requires hands-on QA expertise, ability to take initiative and develop and evolve our QA processes. ISO/ CMMI knowledge, Black box and performance testing.

The right candidate will be able to analyze the systems to determine what to test, the priority of those tests and the best way to test.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 4+ years’ experience in the software quality field including prior hands-on quality engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies at the development center.
  • Familiarity with entire software development life cycle and test cycles

  • KCSE C+ and above.
  • At least 3 years field experience working in an active farmer’s community cooperative society or related field in Kenya.
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili. Knowledge of local language will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel, Access) and MIS (Management Information Systems).
  • Knowledge on handling cereals.
  • Should be aged between 25-40 years.
  • Must have proven interpersonal, organizational, financial, communication and personnel management skills.

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Service Operations; the holder of the position will manage a team to ensure normal service operation is restored as quickly as possible and within the defined SLA’s during incident(s) to minimize adverse impact on Business operations and ensure correct escalation procedures for Incident Management are followed.

Key Responsibilities

East African Gasoil is seeking to recruit focused and self-driven professionals of high integrity in the positions specified below, all to be based in Nairobi and Mombasa:

Supply Manager

Basic Function

Manage the petroleum products supply chain planning process, including forecasting, procurement of inventory to maintain budgeted inventory turns and fill rates for the regional market in a dynamic marketing environment which also includes own and third party storage locations and order fulfillment.

Specific Duties
  • Develop, document and execute a regional comprehensive logistics and distribution strategy that will drive optimal customer service and profitability.
  • Optimize the supply activities by providing crude or refined petroleum products to the right locations, at the right times, at the lowest possible cost, safely and incident-free.
  • Coordinate entire planning process, including procurement, refining, storage, transfers, inventory control, distribution and logistics.
  • Drive operational excellence and sharing of best practices across the business in order to reduce cost to serve on an ongoing basis
  • Oversee the purchasing of petroleum products required based on planned demand from Supply Chain Planning Module and inputs from marketing
  • Custodianship and reconciliation of petroleum products inventories at company and third party locations
  • Inventory invoice processing and costing
  • Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders active in the supply chain of petroleum products to ensure unhampered flow of petroleum products.
Qualifications

Education: University Degree (accounting, economics, sciences) or an equivalent
Proficiency in MS Office Applications

Minimum Experience: 3 years’ experience in inventory management, procurement, logistics and/or distribution. Good working knowledge of an ERP

Accountant

Basic Function

Perform accounting and budgetary work and other financially related tasks as required by Management

Specific Duties
  • Ensures that all funds, physical assets, and other company property are appropriately safeguarded and administered; operates within the approved budget.
  • Accounting and tracking of petroleum products inventories and transactions
  • Monthly closing and preparation of management accounts
  • Prepare reconciliations and analysis of accounts and conduct internal audits
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and apply principles of accounting in analyzing financial information in preparing monthly internal reports.
  • Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit control.
  • Review reports and analyze projections of revenue and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggest methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent. Minimum CPA Part 2. Proficiency in MS Office Applications

Minimum Experience: 3 years’ experience in stocks, debtors, fixed assets, management accounts and reconciliation of key ledger accounts. Good working knowledge of an ERP

  • Strong business development, judgement in identifying potential business partners and strong client relationship skills
  • Strong financial and investment skills and demonstrated ability to structure a variety of complex financial instruments

Support Engineer

Job responsibilities
  • Support of Windows and Linux operating systems and applications network applications and desktop applications and desktop applications like Active directory and Microsoft office.
  • Experience in working with Enterprise IT solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience in Windows server environment and systems (mid-range to high –end).
  • Attending day to day support Calls as assigned by help desk.
  • Providing daily reports to help desk.
  • Completing assigned activities b the project team and reporting to project team on daily basis.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Electronics.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in the area of implementation and support if windows/Linux operating systems.
  • Experience and certification for implementation of Intel based servers from HP or IBM or Dell (A MUST).
  • A Microsoft certification required like MCSE, A+ etc.
  • CCNA certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Certifications in storage technologies like HP, Net App will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of deploying and Managing Active Directory is required.
