Overall Purpose

The project Manager will report to the Board of Directors and will provide leadership, strategic directions, and be responsible for resource mobilization, effective coordination, management and execution of all the programs designed to transform our SME clients.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical, managerial and administrative support to the credit officers and other staff in the organization.

Competencies

  • Proven ability in savings and credit management ,community mobilization and FOSA
  • Willingness to undertake field visits
  • Be computer literate in SACCO/MFI accounting software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An accounting qualification CPA/ACCA final will be an added advantage
  • Be above 35 years of age

The Water and Sanitation Program seeks to locally recruit a dynamic staff as a Program Assistant to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Program Assistant will be responsible for the following:

b) Manage the schedule of the Principal Regional Team Leader, including effective prioritizing and resolving time conflicts and competing demands;

c) Assume primary responsibility for coordinating workflow of administrative staff; supervise the Administrative staff including coaching, mentoring and evaluating the staff;

d) Coordinate closely with the Principal Regional Team Leader on a range of human resource issues including recruitment of Administrative staff /temporaries, including back up for leave and time recording;

Selection Criteria:

RedR is an international charity that improves the effectiveness of disaster relief, helping save and rebuild the lives of people affected by disaster worldwide.

RedR has recently established an office in Nairobi, Kenya and is looking to establish a training programme in the country.

Position: Programme Manager

The Role 

In this role, the Programme Manager will be directly responsible for programme development, team management, activity implementation, donor relations, and supporting the management of the Kenya office. 

In addition, the Programme Manager will develop a marketing strategy to ensure that NGO’s make maximum utilisation of the training programme and also network and participate in co-ordination meetings.

Person Specification 

The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, including experience in budget management. 

Familiarity with humanitarian operations and experience in working in complex humanitarian situations is also required along with understanding of security management issues in the NGO sector. 

Fluency in English and willingness and ability to travel within Kenya (and possibly South Sudan).

Key responsibilities: 
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the project planning, management, monitoring and implementation. 
  • Ensure the project implementation progress is in line with the activity work plan 
  • Permanently monitor the different levels of the projects and report progress to the Head of Programs. 
  • Ensure that donor regulations are adhered too and that necessary administrative, financial and implementation controls are observed.

  • Participate and contribute to relevant project related network and links.

  • Postgraduate degree in development related field preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years working in Livestock related Rural Development and emergency Projects
  • Team leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with pastoral communities

Position Title: Program Officer – Monitoring & Evaluation

Ref: 2011/25

Location: Nairobi with regular travel to the field.

Purpose: To support the database management and monitoring and oversee evaluation activities of the CRS SAIDIA Program, demonstrating country program and projects indicators, outcomes and impact.

Undertake the overall coordination of monitoring, evaluation and documentation functions for the SAIDIA Program, focusing specifically on monitoring, data management, management of information systems that support monitoring, quality assurance and project results documentation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to country program in developing strategic and implementation plans in design process.
  • Coordinate and structure monitoring and evaluation activities with the SAIDIA program staff.
  • Review/assess the capacity requirements of the implementing partners to implement monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Develop/consolidate key indicators and subsequently incorporate them in all agreements and amendments under the projects.

  • Periodic monitoring of the existing database management system, assist in periodic review of program performance and provide supportive supervisory visits to partners.
  • Facilitate the development of the country annual reports, SPP and any other relevant project materials.
Desired Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelors’ degree in Public Health, Demography , Sociology, Statistics or a related field. A masters degree would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of SPSS, Excel, Epi Info, KePMS, MIS, Ms Access qualitative data analysis software is a must.
  • Three years experience in M & E or Strategic Information development in a PEPFAR funded health intervention program.
  • Good understanding of public health issues particularly HIV/AIDS and TB.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evaluation designs for HIV/AIDS and as well as knowledge in health programs
  • Experience working in designing, preparing and conducting surveys, collecting and analyzing baseline data, and reporting.
  • Ability to conduct epidemiologic and social science research, including questionnaire development data processing and data analysis.
  • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility amongst all stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including writing donor reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through informal and formal trainings
  • High integrity, good stewardship of resources and ability to promote learning.

Purpose / Objectives:

INTERSOS is an independent non-profit humanitarian organization committed to assist the victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts and has been working in South Central Somalia since 1993.

Based in Nairobi Intersos office, the candidate will be involved in coordinating, implementing and monitoring all of the activities planned for Intersos Somali Family Tracing and Reunification Project.

In particular: 
  • Maintaining contact with all the stakeholders involved, (including the donors of the project) in connection with, and on the instructions of the Mission Head
  • Contributing, elaborating and setting up INTERSOS strategies, and contributing to the elaboration of possible new intervention projects.
  • Management of human resources assigned to the project.
  • Financial planning and the execution of the procedures as planned by INTERSOS and the donors, from the point of view of the administrational management and of the intermediate and final accountability reports of the project.
  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables.

Qualifications required:

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Programmes Co-ordinator, the procurement officer will be responsible to providing efficient and effective service to FaIDA in the successful, procurement of goods services and works.

Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Prepare documentation, undertake tender exercises and arrange for formal execution of contracts to enable the FaIDA obtain goods, services and works.
  • Establish and actively monitor designated contracts to ensure FaIDA needs are met and that supplies obligations are fully discharged.
  • Maintain effective liaison with the other departments in respect of contract issues, ensuring that documents are legally vetted, including processing single tender applications to enable contracts for proprietary goods and services to be let.
  • Monitor designated FaIDA contracts to provide effective support to customers during the implementation, review and renewal of such contracts.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of the annual Departmental service plan, key performance indicators, and the FaIDA’s procurement strategy
Professional Qualification & Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years work experience in an NGO.
  • Must be conversant with the UN Procurement procedures and guidelines.
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement procedures.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.

Job Description:
The International Health and Development Division of ICF Macro (formerly Macro International Inc.) seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation Associate to join our team.
The Associate will work on the portfolio of public health related M&E activities under USAID’s technical assistance (TA) project for global health programs. The portfolio focuses primarily on the monitoring and evaluation of programs directed at improving quality, availability and use of essential health services.
He/She will assist in providing technical inputs to strengthening, integration and use of data management information systems and tools to facilitate data entry, transmission and use.
Key function of this position will be capacity building among information systems users at the national, county, district and community levels of government and health facility personnel.
The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Support development of health system and information requirements, analysis, design, specifications, piloting and testing, implementation and evaluation
  • Support the implementation of one unified integrated system and use of information
  • Work with Kenya MOH and all stakeholders to identify data collection and reporting requirements for strengthening and integrating the Community Health Information System
  • Support Kenya MOH in developing standards, processes, systems and tools for ensuring the quality of routine health information
  • Provide information on the status and progress of program activities and disseminate information and public reporting results, per client instructions, to interested parties
  • Support stakeholder participation in development of information use products
  • Contribute technical expertise to other projects as needed
Basic Qualifications:
  • Advanced University degree i.e. Masters in Public Health (MPH), or Masters Degree in health information strategy and policy, epidemiology, international health, demography, biostatistics or monitoring and evaluation
  • 5 years professional experience working in health information systems with a demonstrated experience and understanding of stakeholder consultations, requirements analysis, indicator harmonization, data quality improvements and information use
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational capacity building, collaboration with governments and non governmental entities
  • Excellent English oral ad written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with people of diverse backgrounds

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects from initiation to completion; using maximum and effective utilization of project management tools, techniques, and experience, creativity, and management skills, to reach the predetermined objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and communication to all stake holders of all required project management documentation;
  • Undertake post-launch reviews of all products and services to assess actual market take-up against anticipated take-up;
  • Ensure Project Management processes and procedures are in line with the company’s overall;
  • Ensure that projects expenditure is within approved CAPEX and that projects are finished within the set time;

Minimum Requirements
