Company profile: Our Client is one of the leading FMCG manufactures in the region with four manufacturing divisions.
Position: Group GM - Kaizen
Department: Kaizen
Reporting To: DG COO
Key Objectives in first 6 months
1. Reduction in cost of manufacturing by 2 – 3% through continuous improvement projects and idea generation
2. Ensure we have the right value stream leaders in place and they have taken full ownership of their value streams. Examples of measuring this are:
a) Ideas implemented per month should increase from current 5 to 10 and should come from value stream members
3. Implement monthly system where Kaizen projects / bursts are carried out based on the potential savings, which should be calculated in advance and report budgeted vs actual savings.
4. Improve system of tracking project sustenance and audit
5. Identify Kaizen related training needs, schedule necessary training events and implement. Calculate ROI on these trainings.
6. Improve 5S throughout the company to sustain at 85% across the board on 5S audit scores.
7. Improve plant wide OEE by 5% through sustenance of AM and PM activities.

Routine Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate any Kaizen related activities, such as the steering committee, kaizen promotional activities, internal and external workshops
- Ensure all new employees are trained on Kaizen
- Monitor sustenance of 5S and visual management
- Calculate benefit analysis of Kaizen activities
- Regular audit of value streams and work areas to ensure sustenance
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Should have 10 years’ experience in Kaizen / Lean manufacturing
- FMCG background with 1000+ employees preferable
- Speaks English
- Should have experience in managing teams of 5 or more
