MSH would like to invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join its team based
in Kenya on a 5 years Institutional Strengthening Project funded by USAID.
The project will seek to strengthen the technical and institutional capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to enable them to be responsive to the health needs and well being of Kenyans.
This project will also strengthen the national level Kenyan NGOs, CSOs and / or CSO networks to provide national level advocacy for inclusion of CSOs in policy making and strategy development for increased health service delivery to the communities.

The Institutional Strengthening Advisor provides organizational capacity development and coordinates technical assistance in management and leadership development for CSOs and their teams.
He / She collaborates on establishing an effective technical exchange and support network among service provision partners and institutions, including international and local NGOs and FBOs.
He or she will be seconded to work with the CSOs to assure that service sites have the systems, staff and technical support necessary to sustain the delivery of quality services and to build a network of highly functioning CSOs as part of a national strategy to empower communities and strengthen their role in health service delivery.
The Advisor will design and implement capacity building and participate in periodic seminars and conferences to share and disseminate experience among key actors in the public, CBOs/NGO/FBO, on best practices related to Strategic Planning, Governance, HR, Resource Mobilization, Financial Management and Advocacy.
Experience and progressively increasing responsibility in the areas of training and institutional capacity development required. Experience in USAID-funded health projects is highly desirable.
Experience with implementing training and OD programs for institutions and or CSOs desired.
The Advisor shall possess an MPH or similar related degree from an accredited university program, or have equivalent experience. This position does not provide for international allowances.
