Senior Civil / Water Engineer, Junior Civil / Water Engineer & Trainees -(German Agro Action / Welthungerhilfe )- Jobs in Kenya

German Agro Action / Welthungerhilfe is an International NGO operating in various Counties in Kenya and is currently looking for a qualified Senior Civil / Water Engineer, Junior Civil / Water Engineer & Trainees for fixed term positions to be based at field level in Hola, Makueni, Marsabit and Kajiado among other locations.

To qualify as a Senior Civil / Water Engineer the candidate must poses the following:
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or related filed with substantial experience in WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in WASH project design and implementation
  • Experience of working with NGOs in insecure and remote areas desired.
  • Practical knowledge of AUTOCAD, PROXON, GIS software
  • Practical knowledge of water supply and waste water structures e.g. earth dams, distribution networks, boreholes, treatment plants etc in rural and urban settings
  • Practical knowledge in survey works and mapping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian ethics.
  • Excellent command of MS Office
  • Essential: managerial skills; resourceful and adaptable work approach; creative and proactive approach to problem solving.
To qualify as a Junior Civil / Water Engineer, the candidate must poses the following;
  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Civil or Water Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD
  • Excellent command of MS Office
  • Knowledge in water structures designs and construction
  • Willingness to live in the remote areas of the country
